METHOD FOR PRODUCING CAROTENE CONCENTRATE FROM ANTHERS

In order to produce taste-less and smell-less carotene dyestuff, the anthers of lily could be used as raw materials. Process for producing comprises extraction of them by using petroleum ether and added to them a little bit vegetable oil. The extraction is carried out at the temperature higher than usual (35 to 45 0C) during 30 minutes. The anthers and solution agent have taken in ratio 1 g: 10 ml. The maximal yield of rain carotene is 7% counted to weight of raw material. The yield of end-product could be very different depending on art of anthers being brought from different lily families.
