3, 7-Disubstituted indole derivatives represented by general formula [I] or physiologically acceptable salts thereof [wherein X is O, NH, or S; Y is O, S, SO, or SO2; R<1> is OH, loweralkoxycarbonyl, mono- or di(lower alkyl)aminocarbonyl, or the like; R<2> and R3 are each H or lower alkyl; R<4> is H, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl, substituted or unsubstituted naphthyl, or substituted or unsubstituted mono- or dicyclic heteroaryl; R<5> is H, halongeno, trifluoromethyl, or the like; R<6> is H, halogeno, lower alkyl, or the like; m is 0, 1, 2 or 3; and n is 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, with the proviso that when Y is O or SO2, R<4> is H]. The above compounds are excellent in selectivity and have a potent 6-adrenergic receptor exciting effect, thus being useful as preventive and therapeutic agents for obesity, diabetes and so on. |
