A wheeled vehicle (10) has a fluid pump (P1) which actuates a fluid motor (50) in order to drive a wheel (16) of the vehicle. The fluid pump (P1) is also connectable to a fluid motor (50') on another linked vehicle (12) in order to drive a wheel on the linked vehicle (12). A single source (P1) of pressurised fluid is thus used to drive one or more wheels on a plurality of linked vehicles and by providing traction for more than one of the linked vehicles the weight being towed by the leading vehicle (10) is significantly reduced, enabling a total heavier load to be transported before loss of wheel traction of the leading vehicle occurs.
