The invention relates to a display case (1) for a flat object, characterized in that it comprises a rectangular frame consisting of two parts: a first part (7) formed by three fixed, connected stays (2,3,4) supporting a first transparent plate (13) having a front surface (15) and a rear surface (14), and a second sliding part formed from a moveable strut (5) and a second plate (25) having a front surface (26) and a rear surface (27) whereby said plate can be maintained on the first part (26), whereupon the rear part of the first plate (13) is held against the front surface (26) of the second plate (25) and at least one of the adjacent surfaces (26,14) is formed in such a way that at least one cavity is created in which a flat object can be positioned.
