The ring (9) catches the esophagus (6) and is pushed back along it by the rod (8), reaching a point near the rumen (3) (first stomach). The novel actuator (11) moves the rod over the full length of the esophagus, held steady by a hook (19) on the esophagus. The control (15) causes the rod to move back and forth. Preferred features: The hook (19) fixed on the actuator, pulls out and holds the esophagus, through a slit in the neck. In a variant, a grip holds the esophagus, keeping the actuator steady. The same button (18) controls both the grip and the rod advance inside the animal. It controls a double-acting pneumatic cylinder. |
