<p>A housing for a valve includes a valve body (10) defining a central axis (17) and having opposed first (14) and second ends (16) spaced along the said central axis (17). The valve body has a centrally located first central opening (24) defined in the first end (14) thereof; at least one first peripheral opening (22) defined in the first end and radially outwardly spaced from the first central opening; a centrally located second central opening (32) defined in the second end (11) thereof; at least one second peripheral opening (30) defined in the second end and radially outwardly spaced from the second central opening; a central passageway (35) extending between the first (24) and second central openings (32) to define a central fluid flow path (38); at least one peripheral passageway (33), the, or each, peripheral passageway extending between a first (22) and a respective second peripheral opening to define a peripheral fluid flow path (37). A valve seat (46) is defined in one of the central (38) or the, or each, peripheral fluid flow paths. The invention extends to a valve incorporating a valve housing and to a meter and valve housing arrangement.</p> |
