Two linked ring grooves (4,6) are fitted to a brake lining (2) and an operating element (3). A radially operative spring element (7) is fixed in place in one of the ring grooves. When the brake lining is fitted, the spring element stretches into both ring grooves section by section and so locks the brake lining on the operating element.
