The cylinder has a housing, a bush, and an opening leading to the fluid reservoir. A pressure chamber (14) and the opening (5) are connected via a blow bore (22) in the bush (7). A ring-shaped chamber (15) is formed between bush and housing, and opening and blow bore open into the chamber. The bush is formed from a tube, by deep-drawing of a metal plate, and is of stainless steel.
