<p>The invention relates to an external magnetic actuation valve for an intraurethral artificial urinary sphincter enabling urine control in individuals suffering from incontinence or retention by applying an external magnetic field. After the inventive valve (1) is placed in the urethra (9) of the patient, the latter can control miction. The urine is evacuated by bringing a permanent magnet (3) near the body of the patient. Closure is automatic. The system is provided with a safety system preventing overpressure in the bladder (8).</p> |
