PURPOSE: An electrode of an electron gun for a cathode ray tube is provided to control a transformation to the utmost by having a plate-type electrode tolerate a pressure when the plate-type electrode is melted and adhered to a bead glass. CONSTITUTION: In an electrode of an electron gun for a cathode ray tube having a body part(332) and at least two filling-up parts(334), the body part has respective electron beam passing holes for passing R,G and B electron beams and the at least two filling-up parts are established on the right and left sides of the body part to be melted and filled up in a predetermined bead glass(333), protruded from the body part. The filling-up parts further includes a first filling-up part(334a) and a second filling-up part(334b). The first filling-up part is formed by being extended from the flat surface of the body part. The second filling-up part is formed by being extended from the flat surface of the body part while having a different height from the first filling-up part.
