PURPOSE: A method for tracking a position of a cellular phone in mobile telecommunication systems, is provided to accurately track the position of the cellular phone under a multi path fading and an invisible line, by use of curves penetrating points generated by interchanging circles which have a diameter as long as from each base station to the cellular phone. CONSTITUTION: A method for tracking a position of a cellular phone in mobile telecommunication systems, comprises the steps of: if the cellular phone transmits a particular signal, making base stations receive the signal via each electric wave path; making each base station calculate each arrival time of the signal and distributions of the times; counting a distance as long as each base station to the cellular phone by values of the arrival times, and drawing circles, of which a diameter as long as from each base station and the cellular phone, around the base stations; making a pair of base stations(first/second base stations) select one of curves passing two nodes between a first circle and a second circle, which is centered around the first and the second base stations, respectively, using each counted distribution; repeating to select one curve to another pair of base stations; and outputting nodes among the selected curves.
