PURPOSE: A telephone/facsimile transmitter/receiver apparatus for a facsimile system is provided to use the telephone as a facsimile. CONSTITUTION: A telephone/facsimile transmitter/receiver apparatus for a facsimile system includes a switching circuit(100), a first codec(300), a second codec(310), and a digital communication network connection controller(400). The switching circuit(100) adjusts gains for first and second signal path so as to make each required signal magnitude is met. The switching circuit also switches a plurality of multiplexors included in the switching circuit according to the operation mode of the facsimile by applying a multiplexer control signal(MUX control signal) into the switching circuit. The codec(300) converts a first and second digital signals for which the gains are adjusted to different values into a first and second analog signals. The digital communication connection controller(400) receives dialing information from a facsimile system and converts the input signal to a signal meeting the specification required for the digital communication network.
