PURPOSE: A method for exact summation of IS-634 and ATM's protocols is provided to enable IS-634 protocols and ATM protocols to directly perform exact summation by adding a parameter that possesses IS-634 message format's routing information, which is created by IS-634 level's application, and by adding a parameter, which eliminates the need for protocol level insertion to provide routing function, to signal processing ATM adaptation level's message transmission primitive. CONSTITUTION: A method for exact summation of IS-634 and ATM's protocols is composed of addition, insertion, procession, and transmission. Call identifier and message discriminator are added to IS-634 message format, which is created by IS-634 level application(100,170). IS-634 message is inserted into SAAL_DATA primitive's data parameter part in SAAL level(110) and transmitted to AAL level(120). AAL divides the received message into cells and transmits it to ATM level(130). ATM level processes the message that was received in cells, and sends it to controller's ATM level. Controller's AAL level(150) collects the transmitted cells, recovers them into a message form, and sends it to IS-634 level(170) via SAAL level(160). |
