METHOD FOR DECIDING OPERATING ENERGY OF INK JET PRINTER HEAD BASED ON OPTICAL MEASUREMENT RESULT OF TURN-ON ENERGY AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for deciding a turn-on energy independently of the thermal reaction of a printing head and the analysis and intervention by an observer from a subjective point of view. SOLUTION: In order to sequentially apply an emission pulse whose pulse energy is increased or decreased to an ink droplet generator, the pulse energy of the emission pulse is incrementally changed to print a specified test pattern. This pattern is measured by a sensor (421). The pulse value of the emission energy for operating a printing head is decided (435). Further, a heater decides a specified ratio of the emission energy pulse value to an energy pulse value at which an ink is not emitted so that the former is higher than the latter (437). The emission energy pulse value is sent to a control device for printing.
