The temperature is detected by a temperature detecting section 33 provided in a control circuit 4A, The number of spare discharge pulses is determined by a sequence control section 5A based on the relationship between the temperature of a prescribed portion of the device 1A and the number of the applications of the pulses. The relationship is beforehand determined by an experiment and simulation.
