PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide apple wax and cosmetics including the same especially suitable for the protection and cleanup of the skin and hair. SOLUTION: This apple wax is produced by extracting apple pomace, after its pectin has been removed, by means of at least one organic solvent selected from the group consisting of acetone, ethyl acetate, ethanol, t-butyl methyl ether, acetic acid, petroleum ether and their mixture, or carbon dioxide and has <=55 deg.C dropping point. A hair and/or skin treatment composition including the apple wax is applied in the form of solution, emulsion, cream or gel. |
