PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening device for an extensible/contractible pipe, wherein the types of components is small, assembling to a pipe is easy and a high strength is provided. SOLUTION: A ring unit 32 is provided inside a nut member 31. The ring unit 32 includes a pair of fastening rings 33 and 34 made of a common component, which are fitted to face each other. The fastening rings 33 and 34 have an annular part 60 having a cutting slit 63 formed in a part of the peripheral direction, a plurality of projecting parts 61 and recessed parts 62 formed among the projecting parts 61. A tapered surface 81 facing inward is formed in the tip of each of the projected parts 61, and a tapered surface 82 facing outward is formed in the bottom wall of each of the recessed parts 62. When the nut member 31 is fastened to axially draw the fastening rings 33 and 34 to each other, the tapered surface 81 and 82 are obliquely slid like a wedge, and thus the projected parts 61 are pressed to a first pipe 11 side, and the annular part 60 is pressed to a second pipe 12.
