PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new welding temp. measuring method by which the welding temp. of a testing body can easily and accurately be measured for every different welding condition. SOLUTION: A fitting hole 4 in the testing body 1 is bored and a thermocouple 5 is inserted and fitted into this fitting hole 4, then the welding is applied onto the surface side of the testing body 1 at a prescribed welding condition and the welding temp. is measured by the thermocouple 5 to obtain the measured data. After completing the measurement, the reinforcement part of weld in a weld zone 2 is removed and is machined into the same level as the weld zone 2, then the welding is again executed at the different welding condition and the welding temp. is measured by the thermocouple 5. In this way, since the error of the fitting position, etc., of the thermocouple 5 is eliminated, the welding temp. of the testing body 1 can easily and accurately be measured for every welding condition.
