PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield driving machine capable of performing complicated rolling corrections without requiring a complicated rolling correction mechanism. SOLUTION: This shield driving machine is for excavating an underground pit having non-circular cross section and comprises a cutter head 4, a front drum 2 with the whole portion made in one united body, and a rear drum 1 coupled to the rear portion of the front drum 2 by fitting the end portions together. A twisting mechanism constituted with a pair of jacks 6 so as to twist the front drum 2 fixed to the rear drum relative to the rear drum 1 and a round bar 8 for transmitting the force of the jack 6 is arranged at the top and bottom inside the main body of the shield drive driving machine, the front drum 2 is supported by the rear drum 1 through a support bracket 9 provided with a slot 9a and a round bar 8 inserted to the slot 9a, and a gap sufficient for permitting the twisting motion is provided between the end portions of the drums 1, 2 fitted together, and the front drum 2 is made twistable by varying the center point of twist by the upper and lower twisting mechanisms. |
