PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom finder device for a camera where dust is prevented from infiltrating into the vicinity of an image-formation surface, which is excellent in viewing condition and whose structure is simple. SOLUTION: This zoom finder device for the camera is provided with a zoom optical system, and can switch the field image plane size of a finder to ordinary image plane size and panoramic image plane size. It is provided with the objective lenses 1 and 2 of the zoom optical system capable of retreating/advancing and forming subject light into an image on the image- formation surface, a Porro prism 3 guiding the image formed on the image- formation surface 3a to an ocular 4, and a flexible tube state elastic member 5 covering over the outer periphery part of the optical path of the objective lens 2 and the Porro prism 3 while putting the image-formation surface 3a in between. By deforming the outer periphery of the member 5 up and down or elongating/contracting it in an optical axis direction, the periphery of the image-formation surface 3a is always covered with the member 5 so as to prevent the infiltration of the dust.
