SOLUTION: This call monitoring system consisting of an exchange 102 managing the call state of a subscriber's line, an operation device 101 monitoring the state of the exchange and a service order inputting device 103 which stores information about a subscriber allocated to each subscriber line housed by the exchange is capable of notifying information about a subscriber making an call affecting a maintenance person occur without disturbing a service recovery operation of the exchange when abnormality takes place in the exchange by such a manner that the exchange manages information about the subscriber allocated to a subscriber line housed by the exchange, the occurrence of a call by using the subscriber line housed by the exchange and the end of the call.
