PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a background from being photographed darkly in photographing with strobe light, especially, in a wide room or out of doors where illumination is little. SOLUTION: This film unit is equipped with a photographing lens 1, and a diaphragm plate 11 for changing the diaphragm value of a photographing lens. The plate 11 is constituted so that the diaphragm value of the lens 1 can be switched at least to the 1st diaphragm value and the 2nd diaphragm value at which a diaphragm aperture is larger than the 1st diaphragm value. Assuming that MTF of the photographing lens in the vicinity of an optical axis in spatial frequency 15.00 lines/mm at the 2nd diaphragm value when a subject distance is 4 m is M24, and the MTF of the photographing lens in the vicinity of the optical axis in the spatial frequency 15.00 lines/mm at the 2nd diaphragm value when the subject distance is 2 m is M22, the film unit satisfies conditional expressions 0.1<M24 and 0.1<M22.
