PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recycle while dealing with digitizing of a printing step by providing a coating layer containing a compound decomposable by emitting a light having a wavelength of a higher energy than a band gap energy of a titanium oxide photocatalyst and a reducing action on a coat layer. SOLUTION: In the plate material for printing, a coat layer 3 containing a titanium oxide photocatalyst and a coating layer 4 formed on the layer 3 are formed on a surface of a base material 1 and a light having a wavelength of a higher energy than a band gap energy of the photocatalyst is emitted to its surface so that its hydrophobic property can be converted into its hydrophilic property. Accordingly, a hydrophobic part is used as a printing element part and a hydrophilic part is used as a non-printing element part, and hence a function as the plate material for printing can be performed. Thus, its recycling can be achieved by utilizing conversion properties from the hydrophobic property to the hydrophilic property, and an amount of the plate materials to be discarded after using can be reduced. |
