<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the fouling of collector electrode plates in a dust collection cell correctly by installing monitoring frames for recovering ions which were not recovered by a collector and detecting the fouling of the collector based on the quantity of recovered ions. SOLUTION: Dust in air is removed by a pre-filter 2 and a dust collection cell 1, and the air is passed between monitoring frames 4. The amperage measuring part 22 of a fouling monitoring part 6 supplies a control signal to a relay part 21 to make the frames 4 and current detecting resistance R conductive, and sets up the electric potential of the frames 4 at a grounding potential. The frames 4 recover cations remaining in air which were not recovered by each collector electrode plate 11, 12. The amperage measuring part 22 measures both end voltages of the resistance R as the amount of recovered ions, calculates amperage from the frames 4 to a grounding point, and actuates an alarm generating part 23.</p> |
