PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve system of an engine which can sufficiently insure the sectional area of an intake valve and lower the full height of the engine. SOLUTION: An engine main body 3 is slantingly arranged in the rotating direction of the output shaft 27. An intake valve 16 and an exhaust valve 17 are arranged side by side on the downward deviated position than the cylinder center axis O, the intake valve 16 and the exhaust valve 17 are slanted downward against the cylinder center axis O, and the intake valve 16 is slanted sideway against the cylinder center axis O.
