PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an escalator cleaning tool that can reduce the power required for cleaning the wall surface of an escalator and then facilitate cleaning work. SOLUTION: An escalator cleaning device 1 is used to clean continuous wall surface 7 positioned under a handrail 6 utilizing the movement of an escalator 5. The cleaning arm 3 of the escalator cleaning device 1 is provided with a cleaning part 32 extending vertically and abutting on the wall surface 7, a journalling part 33 to journal the cleaning part 32 so that its upper end can slide to the direction to contact with/separate from the wall surface 7, and a turning energizing means 37 to energize the turning of an upper part 39 above the journalling part 33 of the cleaning part 32 to the direction to approach to the wall surface 7. In this case, the cleaning part 32 is journalled by the journalling part 33 so that the upper end of the cleaning part 32 can be journalled possible to slide to the direction to contact with/separate from the wall surface 7. The upper part 39 above the journalling part 33 of the cleaning part 32 is energized to turn to the direction to approach to the wall surface 7. Thereby, the cleaning part 32 can be pressed on the wall surface 7 by the prescribed pressure, then the labor required for the cleaning work can be reduced and the cleaning work can be easier.
