PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an original reader where a degree of control freedom in the case of reading. SOLUTION: An RGB LED array 14 where a plurality of LEDs emitting lights with a plurality of different wavelength are arranged, emits a light onto a photo film 16. A 3-line CCD sensor 20 where a plurality of CCDs receiving lights with a plurality of different wavelength are arranged, receives a light transmitted through the photo film 16. A controller controls each CCD so that each CCD receives the light transmitted through the photo film 16 for a storage time that is an integer multiple of a minimum storage time in the unit of the predetermined minimum storage time and controls each LED so that each LED emits a light that is pulse-width-modulated synchronously with the storage time for one period of the minimum storage time.
