PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backup memory device and a memory method therefor with which all files preserved in a flash ROM can be read out after ON of a power source even when the power source is turned off in the middle of writing data in the flash ROM. SOLUTION: This device has a CPU 10 capable of writing data under storage into a DRAM 14 or ROM 13 to a flash ROM 15 only when the power source is turned on and reading the data under storage into the flash ROW on the basis of address data related to write data while storing and updating these address data in the flash ROM 15 in the case of writing the data in this flash ROM 15 and a backup memory 16 for storing and holding data under storage even when the power source is turned off and in the case of writing data under storage into the DRAM or RM to the flash ROM 15, the CPU 10 stores and holds the address data just before this write operation in the backup memory 16. |
