PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To turn a microphone toward a sound source at all the time by automatically following the moving sound source. SOLUTION: This unit 1 is provided with a microphone 2 for converting a sound into electricity, a sound source direction detecting means 3 for detecting the direction of the sound source with this microphone 2 as a reference, driving means 4 and 5 for changing the direction of the microphone 2 and a control means 6 for controlling the driving means so that the microphone 2 can be turned toward that sound source on the basis of a detecting signal from the sound source direction detecting means 3.
