PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a sound source device capable of preventing the number of simultaneous sound production channels from being reduced while dealing with a plurality of sound source modes, and capable of synthesizing musical sound with high degree of freedom. SOLUTION: This sound source device is made up of an interpolator 2, a buffer memory 3, a DSP 4, a buffer memory 5, and a mixer 6. As for a plurality of sound source modes provided by this sound source device, elements (the interpolator 2 and mixer 6) having a function common to the respective sound source modes are made up by using hardware while elements having a different function for different sound source modes are made up by using software (a program) in the DSP 4, and therefore the number of simultaneous sound production channels is prevented from being reduced while a plurality of sound source modes are accommodated, and synthesis of musical sound is made possible with high degree of freedom. |
