PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare electronic catalog data including selection conditions by a simple input. SOLUTION: The electronic catalog data preparation device is provided with an input part 1 for inputting information related to parts and a conversion part 2 for converting the information inputted to the input part 1 into a previously determined data format. The input part 1 is provided with an item information input means 3 for inputting information related to the properties and contents of the items of the parts and a range input means 4 for inputting the range of the input or provision of the items or the condition of provision. The means 4 has fields 5 to which the description 4a of a core indicating that the contents of an input are conditions, the description 4b of a code indicating a range to be executed when the input contents satisfy a certain condition and the description 4c of a code indicating a range when the input contents do not satisfy the condition. The conversion part 2 is provided with a conditional equation conversion means 6 for retrieving respective codes inputted to the means 4 and converting the condition and each range into previously determined data structure on the basis of the contents indicated by respective codes.
