PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily replace an ionization compartment and to speedily carry out a highly accurate analysis by an electron ionization method after switching from a chemical ionization method to the electron ionization method, in an ionizing device for a mass spectrometer using both the chemical ionization method and the electron ionization method. SOLUTION: A conduit tube 14 in an interface part 12, a suction tube 21 connected to a vacuum chamber 10 and a reaction gas supply tube 23 are connected by a three way valve 22. The reaction gas supply tube 23 is connected to the conduit tube 14 in a chemical ionization method. Thereby, reaction gas is supplied into an ionization chamber 11 through the conduit tube 14. On the other hand, the conduit tube 14 is connected to the suction tube 21 in an electron ionization method. Thereby, the reaction gas remaining in the conduit tube 14 is sucked by a pressure difference into the vacuum chamber 10 having a highly vacuum to be removed.
