PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly adjust the writing timing of plural laser beams for every laser beam according to a printing state by simple constitution with respect to an image forming device that image information is recorded on a photoreceptor by using the plural laser beams. SOLUTION: The image information of a test pattern for detecting the fluctuation of the irradiation timing of each beam is previously stored and the image information printed on a recording medium based on the information of the pattern (a step 06) is read (a step 07). Thereafter, the image information of the pattern and the image information read at an original platen are compared with each other by an information processing part in the device (a step 08) so as to calculate the fluctuation of the irradiation timing of each beam. Based on the detected result, the irradiation timing (timer value and pulse counter value) or each beam is varied (steps 09-12).
