PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device provided with a structure making the occurrence of the abnormal image surely prevented, in the case of providing the structure holding the image carrier in contact with the latent image carrier that lubricant is fed thereon. SOLUTION: The image forming device is constituted so as to uniformly charging the latent image carrier 1 preliminarily that lubricant is applied for reducing the surface friction thereon, to perform the visualization processing by feeding the developer carried by the developer carrier 4D to the latent image carrier 1, after forming the electrostatic latent image by optical writing, and to form the image through the transferring stage transferring the visual image on transfer paper and the fixing stage for the transferred image. In this case, the device is allowed so as to adopt the lubricant provided with electrostatic charge property being set in polarity opposite to the electrostatic charge property of the developer.
