PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the pixel pitch finer and reduce the power consumption while making the frame area smaller relatively to a picture display area in an electro-optical device such as a liquid crystal device. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device is provided with signal electrodes 10 arranged in a multiple matrix form on a 1st substrate 1, scanning electrodes 20 arranged in stripes on a 2nd substrate 2 so that each intersects the signal electrodes, a one-chip-structured driving circuit 100 mounted on the 1st substrate in a prescribed place positioned in a frame area and on one end side of the signal electrodes. In the frame area, a 1st connection wiring 31 for connecting the signal electrodes with the driving circuit and a 2nd connection wiring for connecting the scanning electrodes with the driving circuit via a vertical conduction material are wired.
