<p>A corner joint between two frame members of a generally rectangular cross-sectional shape and each provided with a through longitudinal hollow space. The connection comprises an angle section with two flanges at right angles, which each extend into a longitudinal hollow space of a frame member. The flanges each comprise a first snugly fitting rigid flange portion, which connects to a second, more flexible flange portion. The second flange portion extends slightly inwardly relative to said first flange portion and carries at its free end a transversely and inwardly projecting locking protuberance, that cooperates with a corresponding locking opening in the inner upstanding longitudinal wall of the respective frame member. As seen in cross-section, the first flange portions are in the shape of a T, of which the flange extends upright along the outer side of the angle section and the central web is directed inwardly and parallel to the plane of the angle section. The flange continues through a bending point into the second flange portion and carries said locking protuberance at its free end.</p> |
