The invention relates to methods for the production of substituted pyrazole carboxylic acids of general formula (I). The key step is cyclization with hydrazines followed by saponification. The substituted pyrazole carboxylic acids are used as medicaments, especially as medicaments in the treatment an d prophylaxis of anaemias.
