A stacked catalytic reactor, e.g. for the generation of hydrogen from methyl alcohol, has a series of catalytic discs (10) each with a number of perforations (12) forming an educt passage (21) through which the incoming raw material reaches the catalytic surface. A tubular lance (30, 30a) extends through the educt passage (21). The lance has a series of nozzle outlets (50) directed towards the catalytic discs.
