PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide rubber compositions containing carbon fibers regulated in any fiber length according to required performance over a wide range, i.e., having a desired distribution of fiber length or the carbon fibers and glass fibers, and, in addition, the rubber compositions containing carbon fibers or carbon fibers and glass fibers capable of using waste materials to be generated in the FRP production and waste FRP articles as the starting material and excellent in the preservation of environment as well. SOLUTION: Rubber compositions comprise one or more of each classified product obtained by pulverizing resin bound carbon fibers or resin bound carbon fibers and glass fibers to 100μm-3 mm-long fibrous materials, and subsequently classifying the resulting materials to regulate the fiber length, and rubber compositions comprise fibers to be obtained by decomposing the pulverized product in the atmosphere filled with the decomposition gas of the pulverized product under heating at 350-500 deg.C.
