PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sheet already stacked on a stack tray from being slipped off by a sheet later discharged on the stack tray. SOLUTION: A paper presser lever 420 to press a sheet on a stack tray 411 by rising and sinking at the time when the stack tray 411 rises and to retreat at the time when a stacking means is lowered is provided, the stack tray 411 is lowered so that an upper surface of the sheet stacked on the stack tray 411 is positioned on the lower side of the paper presser lever 420, and thereafter, the stack tray 411 is made to rise up to a position where the upper surface of the sheet stacked on the stack tray 411 is pressed by the paper presser lever 420.
