PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable collector for dung of a dog, having a simple structure, capable of being produced at a low cost and being easy to handle. SOLUTION: This collector comprises a receiving frame 1 where a bag B for collecting the dung of a dog is inserted and retained in an opened state and a handling lever 2 fixed in a protruding state from the outer side of the frame on it. A groove 4 is formed on the outside circumferential surface of the frame 1. The bag B is inserted in the frame in a state that the opening of the bag looks upward and the upper end part of the bag is turned up along the outside circumferential rim of the frame 1. Then, the turned up part of the bag is made to face the groove 4 of the frame 1 and an elastic string G such as a rubber band is inserted into the groove 4 so as to tightly hold the bag. Thus, the bag G is held in an opened state O on the frame 1 and the dung of a dog is collected within the bag G.
