摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely control the temperature in an extremely local area of an article, generate a small controlled welding part, and improve physical and mechanical characteristics of the article to be a desired level. SOLUTION: This invention provides a device 10 and a method for welding a superalloy article. The device 10 is equipped with an enclosure 12 for accommodating the superalloy article, an inversion type plasma transfer arc welding device 20 for welding the local area of the article, an induction coil 14 for heating the local area, a means 24 for sensing the temperature in the local area, and a means 26 for controlling it. The induction coil 14 is arranged extremely near the local area of the article, whereby the temperature in the local area is mostly decided by the output of the induction coil 14 and changes rapidly. The welding device 20 is actuated at an extremely low current of 45 amperes or less, and so it has only a secondary heating function, compared with the induction coil 14.
