PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for perforating a deformed hole, by which the deformed hole can smoothly be perforated without requiring so much time when a deformed hole is perforated in a work such as glass plate, and also to provide a device for the method. SOLUTION: In the side-view of a perforating cutting-edge section of this device, shown in the figure, a band saw 1 consisting of an endless band material 2 which is made of stainless steel, Swedish steel, or the like, and at one side edge of which a cutting-edge part 3 is formed by electrodepositing diamond abrasive grains on the band material 2 at prescribed intervals so that the band saw 1 can easily be bent, is held with plural rotary shafts 4, wherein each of the rotary shafts 4 supports the belt material 2 of the band saw 1, up to its intermediate part preceding the cutting-edge part 3 and is not engaged with the cutting-edge part 3. Thus, the whole cutting-edge part 3 can be pressed on a glass plate 7 which is a work and, accordingly, this band saw 1 can be held with the plural rotary shafts 4 to form the shape of a hole to be perforated.
