PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contract the setting area of a thermal power plant by arranging a turbine building and a coal bunker building, and setting a part of an auxiliary machine attached to a steam turbine within the coal bunker building. SOLUTION: This thermal power plant comprises a turbine building 4, a coal bunker building 15, and a boiler building 16. A low-pressure second feed water heater 5, a low-pressure third feed water heater 6, a deaerator 7, a boiler feed water pump 8, a high-pressure fifth feed water heater 9, a high-pressure sixth feed water heater 10, and a high-pressure seventh feed water heater 11 are arranged in the coal bunker building 15. A coal bunker 12 for storing coal, a part of a conveyor for supplying coal to the coal bunker 12, and a coal feeder 13 for supplying coal to pulverized coal are also set therein. The coal bunker building 15 is arranged in a position as close as possible to the turbine building 4 in order to shorten the connecting piping with the constituting equipment within the turbine building 4. According to this, the setting area of the thermal power plant can be contracted.
