PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for winding a PC strand wire by which the taking-up work and winding work of a PC strand wire can be carried out stably and efficiently by using weak forces. SOLUTION: An endless taking-up mechanism 7 which takes up and houses a PC strand wire 4 is set up on a working stage 6 installed to a scaffold 5 in a state where the mechanism 7 can be selected to be rotated manually or mechanically and, at the same time, a sending device 8 which takes over and sends the wire 4 is installed to the stage 6 on the outside of the mechanism 7 and a drawing-out device 9 which draws out the wire 4 is positioned under the sending device 8. After a prescribed length of the wire 4 drawn out from the device 9 is wound around the mechanism 7 in a coil-like state, the wire 4 wound around the mechanism 7 is fed to a group of main reinforcement 3 by rotating the mechanism 7 manually or mechanically and wound around the group.
