PURPOSE: A method for operating internet sites is provided to increase cooperative participating rates of internet site members, by giving event participating rights to the members only who register in groups and by compensating the members, only when the event participating rates reach a regular standard. CONSTITUTION: A method for operating internet sites comprises the steps of: affiliating members and groups; making the members and the groups participate in events set up in the internet sites; and compensating the members and the groups according to participating rates. The step of affiliating the members and the groups comprises the steps of: receiving inputted members information to decide identifications(IDs) and passwords of the members, and storing the IDs and the passwords in a member information database; affiliating the members in required groups registered in group lists; if the required groups do not exist, making new groups; if the members are registered in the groups, connecting registered group codes with the IDs of the members, then store the group codes in the member information database.
