PURPOSE: A method for limiting a modem access of a computer system is provided to prevent an indiscreet communication, by setting up a password limiting a right of using the modem. CONSTITUTION: A method for limiting a modem access of a computer system comprises the steps of: if an user wants to use the modem, deciding whether a password confirming a right of using the modem, is inputted; if so, comparing with a predetermined password; and if the compared passwords are coincided, permitting using of the modem, if the compared passwords are not coincided, limiting using of the modem.
