PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an NTC thermistor, having excellent heat radiating property, with which an allowable current value can be increased to the size of an element without increasing the size and the weight of product as in the conventional NTC negative characteristic thermistor having a heat sink. SOLUTION: A part of a lead frame 4, which is formed in such a manner that it can make a continuity with the electrode 2 on both main surfaces of an NTC thermistor base material 1, is formed as a wide width part 4a in this NTC thermistor A. Besides, the main part of the wide width part 4a is exposed from packaging resin 5, a narrow width part 4b is formed by narrowing the width of the connection part to the mounting objective of the lead frame 4, and a tapered part 4c, the width of which is gradually becoming narrower from the wide width part 4a to the narrow width part 4b, is provided. Also, the lead frame 4 is formed using the conductive material having low heat conductivity. Also, a hole or a notch is formed on the wide width part of the lead frame.
