PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a client to selectively view the specific performance indicator of a cluster of computers by filtering the output of the performance monitor utility and providing for the client the information in format making it easy to evaluate the performance. SOLUTION: A run command server 22 generates a new thread 24 so as to process the output of the performance monitor utility 21. The thread 24 directs data to a corresponding thread 24 in a supervisor 23. Each thread 25 passes the data to a corresponding thread 27. The thread 27 filters the data according to a filter 26 relating to the specific utility 21 having generated the data. A thread 28 makes the filtered data usable by the client 29. The client 29 provides for the user a means which operates and displays selected data. |
