PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct uneven output of an image pickup device that is caused by the uneven illumination by calculating the correction data for plural uneven image data, based on these data which are outputted from an image pickup means at a position near its focal point. SOLUTION: A CPU 30 controls an illumination drive circuit 33 and turns on an LED block included in an illumination part 10 to emit the red, green, blue and infrared beams in sequence. The CPU 30 also drives an image processing circuit 34 to calculate the image data for every pixel of the output of a CCD line sensor 20c and acquires unevenness correction data to store them in a memory 32 with the position and an AF point of an AF block 21 used as the addresses respectively. Then an AF motor 26 is driven via an AF motor drive circuit 35 to move to the next AF point by a command of the CPU 30. The same operation is repeated if the above AF point is included in an AF point setting range. If the AF point exceeds the above setting range, this processing is finished. Then the unevenness correction data on the red, green, blue and infrared beams are stored in the memory 32 over the scanning lines which are set at plural AF points.
